First inmate put to death in Oklahoma since last botched execution twitches in pain and screams 'my body is on fire' as he is given the same cocktail of lethal drugs
  • Charles Frederick Warner's execution for the 1997 killing of an 11-month-old girl in Oklahoma City lasted 18 minutes today
  • He screamed 'my body is on fire' but because of a paralytic drug could not show signs of distress
  • His execution is the first in Oklahoma since Clayton Lockett's 43 minute execution went wrong
  • Murderer Lockett writhed and moaned after being declared unconscious

I notice quite a few of the liberal rags whining about this, yet they neglect to mention what this shyt head had actually done to get juiced up on a gurney.

He never protested his innocence, just his punishment. Now while Iam in favour of the death penalty in certain cases, can someone explain to me,why the US have this system? first the system seems to function to make lawyers extremely rich, it costs the tax payer huge amounts of money to keep the condemned on death row sometimes for decades, and then finally the methods and what happens when the sentence is carried out.

The British in my view were far more efficient, no ghouls watching the execution, just a prison governor, prison guards the doctor the pronounce death and the hangman and his assistant. Hanging, the british were the best at the world at, the americans could never get it right they either pulled the heads off or slowly strangled, which was why during the nuremburg trials the americans enlisted british hangmen to deal with the nazis condemned , hence the reliance on electricity, gas, and drugs, and all three seem to be problematic.Plus I think because you guys want the victims relatives to be able to watch, plus the media (why on earth would you want reporters there I have no idea), you tried to find ways that were less gory.

A british hangman holds the record ,albert pierrepoint of the fastest hanging in history, we would at time make the condemned quick march to the death chamber ,it was over in several minutes,

I think if you want to be able to put to death pieces of shyt like this guy and I can see arguments for and against, I just slightly come out in favour with some reservations , you need to own it, firing squad or hanging, not trying to medicalise it, or sanitise it. You are just providing fodder for the whiny liberals to cry about these scum who really deserve to be torn apart by sharks or lions.

And you make it difficult for those of us, who would like the death penalty brought back in our own countries,I because the left always moan about you, they never mention japan of course who copied the british system... You see I think, there are crimes, and circumstances where the death penalty should be used, I think it can deter certain kinds of murderers. not all types, but certain types of people who kill. I also really do think certain murderers ,and sex offenders it make no sense for a nation with limited resources to feed ,water and sometimes protect for decades upon decades. It also means once they are in the ground, there is absolutely not chance they can harm anyone again.

i agree on a lot of points. In cases where like the person is caught literally red handed there shouldn't be appeals and such, but far too many times have we released someone on death row because years later DNA proves they are innocent. In the cases where we know they did it we literally should just take them out back and put two in their heads. Far more humane at this point in my opinion. If I had the option i'd want that.

How do we define ethical in the case of death penalty? Is it a process that brings the least pain to the person being killed, or the process that appears to others as the least painful way?

Because a lot of the deaths that bring the quickest, least painful deaths are sometimes the most gruesome.
