I've been watching mostly fighting game tournaments for awhile now.

Fighting games only really. But I do watch some other off brand tournaments like DDR or beat games.
fighting game tournaments could legit teach ESPN/NBA a lot about how to commentate and keep an event engaging without shytting on whoever is on

I used to watch all the big FGC tourneys as well. Kind of stopped after SF4 and MvC3. I never bought the games after that. I’ll stay up for the SF3 Co-op Cup though.

Then watched League of Legends for a few years.
Never really been into watching FPS tournaments, but I did watch a fair share of youtubes.
I definitely still tune in to watch EVO pretty much every year just to watch the final 8 for the main game even if I don't play it.

Ive watched my nephew play for his University's (Michigan) COD team. I was shocked how great the commentators were.
