I'm looking at something in the Gas/Oil industry in particular. I want to get something to hedge against some of my other stocks that are more volatile. Renewable energy I'd consider volatile also, but anyways has anyone here bought into any and what would you consider a good buy at this point?

Some of the most volatile stocks there are. You should never invest money that you can't afford to lose but dealing with energy stocks you really have to be prepared to lose it all. You have to do a shyt ton of research just to see how the company is moving to see if they are going to make money.
Outside of the big oil companies. Most of energy is a huge gamble. Renewable energy has been around since the 70's and has never caught on. You got a better chance of losing money than making it there if we're being real.

Right now I'm thinking about oil and I think it will move more towards summer...JMO

Countries sit on oil as a leverage play with other countries. Price of a barrel can go way up or way down depending on politics.
