yup, my step pops bought this, as we couldn't afford a computer at the time and I tried my damnest to make it a full computer experience.

Use to use that thing to hit up CheatsCC to look up codes for my ps1 games. If I remember, it was pretty slow tho and couldn't access a lot of sites.

It was basically the introduction to the internet for so many households that couldn't afford personal computers at the time...so the majority of the chat rooms were filled with people who had never had the chance to interact so anonymously with others...in other words...



This was before voice and video chat, so it was mostly messages...unless you exchanged phone numbers

I used to have one way back, it was pretty fun. The wireless keyboard was cool too.

IRC chat, newsgroups, downloading DOOM on it, the secret tricks page, being a preview member, selling on eBay with it...it was handier than a PC sometimes in the dial-up days.
