Nope because he is going be expected to punish AP and everyone is going wait and see how many games AP will be suspended for. If it doesn't meet the public's threshold then pitchforks will be coming out for Goodell.

This will bring more negative attention to the NFL and people will start claiming to outlaw football because it breeds criminals. I expect soccer to be more popular within the next 10-15 years because of the concussions and off the field issues with the league.
