Does beard oil help prevent ingrown hairs?

I don't shave, I just cut my hair down to the stubble, still get ingrown hairs from my hair just curling and growing back down into my skin.

Anyone have experience with this? (That's not the purpose of this oil, but some are saying it helps)

Maybe you should not cut it as low. Beard oil doesn't prevent ingrown hairs (I rarely get them and have a full beard). Beard oil is meant to soften the beard and moisturize the skin to prevent itch.

No beard oil doesn't help.

You have to use a safety razor or settle for a trimmer. When you do shave you have to go with the grain of the hair.

Then also apply some tend skin or bump patrol post shave to keep any micro cuts in the skin from getting infected in the follicle

Exfoliate your skin regularly, that'll thin the skin and reduce the ingrowing,
