I was at the height of happiness in my life in 2011 :ohlawd:

Of course yall know why :youngsabo:

But, honestly, other things were going good as well (lost 40 lbs, first job out of college, making real money, etc) :manny:

I see a lot of people saying "ready for happiness" or "tired of being lonely and single, I want to be happy"

So, what yall think? :dwillhuh:

It's lots of bullshyt, but the good times you have with a significant other almost make the bad things worth it.

I'd say yes, relationships bring happiness, but everything comes with a cost

NEVER allow someone else to have power over whether you are happy or not. You can be happy alone and happy in a relationship, but if you need to be in a relationship to be happy then that means you aren't happy with yourself. You could come across as being a very needy man. Women desire men who want them, not men who need them. It can make you become clingy. Which would you rather want, a woman who wants you because you're amazing to her or a woman who needs you because she is a wreck without a man at all so she picked you to help herself feel more "happy"?

Overall being in a good, nurturing, mature relationship brings happiness. Of course every relationship will have its ups and downs, that's life in general but having someone you trust and care about by your side makes life better IMO.

The only time relationships are the end-all, be-all for happiness is when you don't know how to be happy alone...

...which is something that a lot of people can't seem to figure out yet, I'm noticing. It shows too and those people end up miserable even when they ARE in relationships. :ld:

Relationships with other people actually become way better once you learn to be happy with yourself. That way...you're complementing the person you're with and not depending on them or competing with them.
