like theres fans...and then theres this weird projection they do on to her as some sort of icon or legend who never even speaks on or addresses a fraction of the shyt people say she thinks or does

its kinda...um...worrying? The parasocial ties people have to her is just so extra to a point I dont even see other fanbases doing.

Theres fans of other artists that are just that into the music or the songs...then theres Beyonce fans that think they know her?

Fans were always extra. Now, with social media, we’re able to take a real-time peek at them.

I was a Jay-Z fanatic growing up. Like in HS, everybody knew me to talk about Hov. My family and friends got sick of it lol. I didn’t like people that talked down on Hov. I debated and argued at lunch tables til I was blue in the face (no pun intended lol)

As I got older I saw how off-putting that was. Some of these fans don’t come to that realization. I’m glad there was no insta and YouTube, I was already buying every Vibe, Source, Blaze I could. These youngins fall into a damn wormhole of like minded people obsessing over every little thing their celeb does.

My wife cousin like that. She in the BeyHive and she’ll cuss you out if you get something wrong about Beyoncé. If you turn a song or say you don’t like it she’s visibly upset. She’s in her early 20s
