Does “enjoy your weekend” mean not going to work, or are people having that much fun on the weekend?

People always say, “Enjoy your weekend!” Then, on Monday, they ask how the weekend was, as if everybody is having the time of their lives every weekend. Is everybody doing fun things every weekend, or am I just boring? At most, we’ll have our date night, which is usually just dinner, or go to someone’s event. But most of the time, we just chill in the house.

Based on my understanding of your question, it’s not about what you do; it’s about you enjoying it. If what you call boring is what you enjoy, then you enjoyed your wkend.

If you did something interesting it’s a potential conversation. It can’t be this deep

I bet some ppl will take this thread and call you a weirdo for it but I get what you mean. I've gotten asked that question after a weekend of just relaxing with wifey n daughter and I feel like I sound boring because it seems like everyone else's answers sounds more fun and filled with activities lol

We go out on weekends but just not every single one, we enjoy being homebodies and just keeping each other company. Not to say I don't do small little things like taking my daughter to the park if it's warm, go out for a walk etc

Having fun is relative. Going to the gym or hiking and trying a new restaurant with my life partner is fun to me. However, some people might like to lay on the couch read a book and cuddle with their pets and that might be fun for them.
