Does growing up in a big city make one less prepared in life?

OP here, born and raised and still living in NYC. This is definitely not an NY hate thread. I was just noticing some of my own shortcomings. I know that growing up in NYC (and other big cities) makes you have the gift of gab, and give you that extra moxy. I kinda meant that in a zombie apocalypse world, or in a world where everything is automated, a lot of us big city cats are lacking in skills.
