he's survived worse, but the Bengals are regressing

I think this might finally be it for him.

First losing season since 2010

He will be fired, but I don't know if there are any coaches that will do better in Cincinnati.

There are no high profile college coaches to offer the job to. And no big name coordinators on the market right now.

I think so. They'll probably chalk it up as an off year. Those seasons do happen sometimes.

Plus is there anyone out there that's realistically available better? Might as well let him ride that contract for another year.

He's been there 14 years and hasn't won a playoff game. It's time to give another guy a shot. I do think they should move him to solely the GM/President of Football Operations role, he made great strides in that area for the Bengals. IIRC he does most of the day to day personnel stuff for them because the owner is technically still the 'GM'.

They might have been better if Marvin Jones was still there this year.

Also, the bengals have to find a legit RB

I totally agree with all of that, but I do think you're sending a bad message that merely being a competent franchise is good enough if you keep Lewis around as the HC.

At some point, enough has to be enough... they've gotta make a playoff run one of these years.

As a life long Bengals fan the majority of us want him to Transition to another roll within the team and no longer be the head coach. We respect where he has helped lead us to where he got us to but that is the peak of where he was capable of getting us.

Serious question cuz I'm a long-time casual and don't really pay attention to the Bengals. Have they had a star running back since Corey Dillon? I remember watching that dude take the hell off

It's time for him to go. I think he's a good coach, but he just can't get the Bengals to that next level.
