Put a fork in that series and take it out of it's misery, who is even buying these games for them to come out with a new one every year.
Every iteration of PES on the PS3/Xbox was some of the worst sport games you'll ever play period.

Now if we're talking about the PS2, Winning Eleven 07, matter of fact every game on the PS2 were some of the best sport games you could ever play, they had I don't know how they did it but each player felt and played like it's real life counterpart.

FIFA is just too far ahead in the game (minus 14) in terms of the all manual controls and online, the best Seabass can do is just release a HD version of Winning Eleven 07 and open up the passing ability so you have full control.

I've been playing PES2014 on PC with the world cup patch cuz I got it for free...

:mjlol:@ the PS2 era upscaled faces, crowd and pitch textures ...

:mjlol: @ a sports game in 2014 still controlling in 4 directions like in 2001...

:mjlol: @ all defenders in this game having Usain Bolt's closing speed...C Ronaldo/Messi/Neymar on a 5 meter break from midfield getting caught by the slowest defender on the pitch...never thought I'd see CPU cheese worse than Madden RoboQB but this CPU catch up cheese is truly ridiculous...

The only thing PES still does better than FIFA is goal variety...FIFA is basically pass to the wing lob it in or through ball up the middle and score...PES is a lot more complicated than that which leads to some really fantastic finishes...There is much more emphasis on creating your opportunities with timely dribbling and accurate passing...I also liked the match pacing, it feels more natural opposed to FIFA which tends to feel like pinball at times...

Honestly if Konami stopped treating this franchise as a niche and put some money into it PES could fight for its crown back...The game isn't terrible, most of the problems are due to the archaic engine...This engine can't even pass last gen standards hence why it can't compete with FIFA...Until they rebuild this franchise will remain in the niche gutter...

If the gameplay is the same as 14 then no...

I can't believe this fakkit Seabass still has these games running off the same PS2 engine...:smh:
The article clearly states this new version is running off of Kojima's FOX Engine, so that should get the attention of the people who don't give a shyt about soccer aka 99% of the ppl in this thread

Amazing how much this series fell off PES/WE was the GOAT sports franchise to me on ps2. I really don't have any faith in Konami. They take one step forward and two steps back.

I do love their player faces I think they got fifa beat in that department. And about their fake kits it doesn't matter if you get a decent option file. My problem is I wish they would include more teams and stadiums. Also when I played pes 2013 teams would never keep possession. They would never pass the ball backwards and build up from the back that would drive me crazy!!! Especially when I played Spain or Barcelona. Every team seemed like they would play the same.

I def hope PES can get back to its heyday because pes in its prime was vastly superior to fifa.

Fox Engine is amazing. Too bad they (P.E.S) developers can't do anything substantial with it.
