Music is such a subjective thing, it's not really about the music she listens to for me. It's how her iTunes looks.

She can listen to anything she wants but if her music is well kept in her iTunes with proper tags and perfect artwork, that says more to me than what she listens to. The aesthetics are important.

:ohhh: Real talk, shyt like that does kind of stand out. I silently judge girls if they're letting me go through their MP3 players and they have a bunch of cluttered, mis-tagged singles with the wrong names for the songs.

Just makes me question their overall net savvy.

i don't know, i think i've made it a point to date women who listen to different music than i do. what ends up happening is either i like what they like (because they normally like my music too) and i learn something new or i don't like what they like and i tolerate it. the point is most women i date usually introduce me to something new, whether i like it or not hasn't made any noticeable changes on the duration of the relationship (at least as far as i can tell).

but i wouldn't date a woman who listens to the music you posted in the first post...

I couldn't date someone that liked hoodrat shyt like from the original post.

I need a woman w/ eclectic tastes that can put me on to something different. I listen to a wide range of stuff, so sometimes that's kind of difficult for me.

I don't expect everyone to listen to the music I do, but I'd definitely side-eye a person that listens to shyt like Chief Keef.

I love Chief Keef's music, but I am also highly educated...2 degrees and a diploma in the bag...All science related, no arts/humanities garbage...

But I also like Metallica, Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Old school African music, Joy Division, Lauryn Hill, 2Pac, Fela Kuti, various genres of electronic music, and much more...

I don't care what a potential mate listens to, but if she listens to Chief Keef and tries to emulate that philosophy in her life, then that's a no no...

not really...but i probably wouldn't wife someone whos taste was so drastically different to the point we couldn't meet in the middle.

i been in the UK for months and i was smashing this broad for about 2 weeks and she didn't really listen to anything but dance music and with most of the pop records out now being more or less dance song there was no real diversity... waking up at half 8 in the morn and hearing David Guettas Titanium (this should be played at gyms only) or Swedish House Mafias Greyhound isn't really the wave.

if you can't wait to go to the club at the weekend and you expect to hear these songs i'd assume you wouldn't play them so much unless your in your whip as it might cheapen it with those type of songs. :yeshrug:

Yes. If you can't appreciate different types of music, I'm not interested. If you only listen to mainstream artists, I'm not interested. If you listen to nothing but what you hear on the radio, I'm not interested. They tend to have certain characteristics that I am not attracted to.

It's not just the women I'm dating but I notice that I usually relate better to people that listen to hip hop. Obviously I can get along with everyone but most of my best friends in the past have had the same kind of taste in music as myself :ld:

Hell yes. If you even have the "composer" and "recording location" tags filled out you can just have my heart right then.

I've never really cared unless she keeps terrible ratchet music on deck. Most chicks I've dated kept the dial on pop stations or bought the Wal-Mart versions of rap albums. LOL
