Does this bother anybody else on The Coli's front page?

When I go on this site and it takes me to the main page, sometimes I try to click on the first thread shown on it, but then the banner with the featured threads pops up, and I end up accidentally clicking on that and it takes me to that thread instead.

I don't know why, but it's just so frustrating.
