A cancer cell exhibits abnormal cell behavior when it gets away from under the body's control. Cells are the "building blocks of all living things." Every part of our body, i.e., each organ system, such as our skin, our lungs, and so on, consists of individual cells with different functions depending on the organ system they are part of. In fact, the human body has trillions of cells; and each cell contains DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and other cell replicators and cell regulators--which provide templates and instructions telling the cell exactly what to do and how to behave.
Normally, cells grow and replicate themselves into additional cells as the body needs them, and, after a certain period of time, they die or are replaced. With cancer, cells behave abnormally due to damaged DNA.4 Instead of cells dying (as they are normally programmed to do), they continue to divide uncontrollably and form more abnormal cells.
Our immune system recognizes abnormal cells and disposes of them efficiently, unless the immune system is not working properly. Incipient cancer cells use various tricks and disguises to escape the immune system. An abnormal cell does not automatically become cancer. The transformation of a cell to cancer may take many years and has to go through many stages, including initiation, promotion and progression before it becomes, indeed, a cancer. Risk factors, such as the environment, genetic make-up, family history, diet and lifestyle, and radiation exposure all play a role in the initiation, facilitation, support, promotion, and progression until a cell is truly cancer.
In the majority of cancer cases, abnormal cells clump together in a lump and form a tumor;5 sometimes the clump of abnormal cells will break apart and travel the bloodstream or via the lymph vessels to spread (metastasize) to other tissues of the body.6 Once at the new site, the cells continue to divide and form additional abnormal cells.
Cancers are named after the body part where the tumor originally starts; this is so, even if the cancer spreads to other parts of the body. For example, breast cancer that spreads to the bone is called metastatic breast cancer. Lung cancer that spreads to the liver is called metastatic lung cancer.
Nearly all cancers have the ability to metastasize to other parts of the body; when this happens, developing a treatment plan becomes more challenging.
The key to reducing mortality from cancer lies, first, in cancer prevention, and second, in finding cancer in the earliest stage possible when treatments are more effective.

Which is causing the Earths total forest to decrease at a rate of 89 000 acres per day. Is he not the underlying reason oil, the lifeblood of the planet, is to the point that there is only enough oil left in the planet to last 40 years at the current usage rate. Think of any large scale problem in the planet and think, is he not the underlying reason for it? Are these not the behaviors of something no longer under the planets control? Think of it like this, if your children got older and started destroying your home, the place where you raised them all of their lives, would you not say that they are no longer under your control?
