created a group and tried to diss rappers who were on for some clout and got absolutely no where? heard this story before..

:usure:

its called competition dog. that's what hip-hop used the be all about.

illegal has a #1 rap hit, won a billboard award and still get talked about. I don't see how that equates to getting absolutely nowhere.

and i'd say that they had a better run with their album than kriss kross had with their 2nd jawn that year.

I think Wacky D might be thinking during their respective peaks:patrice: could be an argument there. If Kriss Kross came out when Bow Bow did and vice versa, Kriss Kross would do more damage. Krissy Kross had a range of kids to adults buying their stuff, Bow Wow just had the kids:manny:. Overall Career wise Bow Wow has them beat though.

kriss kross' 2nd & 3rd albums did the same numbers as bow wow's 2nd & 3rd joints. and they did it in rougher times & without all the hype, resources & propaganda that bow wow had. if bow wow was as big as people are making it seem, he should've been doubling those sales. I think people are just judging off the surface and going by the fact that bow wow was on TV all the time and was mr 106th & park. but that's because there were more avenues by the time bow wow came out. especially for kids. 106th & park was basically a kid's show. the scream tours were also BET money.

and yea, even despite all that, kriss kross peak was twice as big as bow wow's. lol. with all the resources at bow wow's disposal, it should've been the other way around.

bow wow had the better entertainment career, via TV & acting, and so did lil romeo. and theyre both still going.
but that's completely separate from the rap thing. they should never be lumped together.

Nobody would be suicidal enough to beef with Shyhiem knowin Wu Tang Clan ain't nuthin to fukk wit...But to see what happened to dude in the end, and Mac Daddy (Kriss Kross) :merchant: :wow:

I don't recall chi ali being involved in any beefs either.

maybe it was just a group thing.

Smellin kinda fishy bruh :mjpls:

Nah but i can respect that. Naughty helped Jersey alot, from the outside lookin in, as well as the rest of the cats (ie Redman, Latifah etc)

Naughty were too commercial for me... I like L.O.T.U.G., PRT, Outsidaz, Artifacts much better..

whats fishy?
I was born at Newark Beth Israel Hospital, grew up next town over in Hillside.
Naughty never did it for me. I mean of course I had copies of OPP and etc. because I was A DJ at that time.

Malik was like Wayne before Wayne the labels REALLY dropped the ball on not making him a star

Jamal was always kinda try-hard sounding to me I wasn't feeling him
"talking that EXTRA hard shyt you prolly a punk" always popped in my head when he rapped lol

Da youngstas, Shyhiem and Vicious made the best music out of all of them.....

"No Mercy" might be the best teen rap album ever shyts damn near flawless

Y’all have to listen to Dallas Austin’s interview when he talks about Illegal. Basically, them two lil nikkas were some miscreants who’d latch on to crews and whatnot. They came into his life via Brat who got tired of babysitting they bad asses. Dallas passed them off to Death Row to the point it was either Suge or Snoop who called and told him he needed to come get these lil bad fukkers cause they was smoking all their weed and trying to gangbang out in Cali to the point, it was a problem. Hilarious fukkin interview
