Remember My Name enters the charts at #14, after moving 26, 919 units according to HDD. Dom Kennedy's new album, By Dom Kennedy, debuts at #19 22,555 units. These numbers may alter slightly after Billboard delivers their statistics. Nonetheless it gives you an idea of each album's reach.

:ehh: Thought Durk would have sold a lil more than that.

What exactly has these major labels done for any of the Chiraq artists?

They came in the game with everything in house but signed to a major... to keep using their own producers and artists. Shame they weren't too business savvy from the start
Their gimmick wasn't going to work for long, their popularity came from their low budget videos. There is only so long that you can wave around guns in videos for four minutes with wack ass music. They also came at the height of the "but what about Chicago" shyt that cacs love to use to justify them murdering us but thank god this movement was short lived. Hopefully these clowns go back home and face the wrath for the genocide that they promoted for three years now.

We don't know what type of deal he signed, it might be mostly distribution for all we know?
Or at least not a 360.

That doesn't matter. They had a following and they were popular as fukk without the majors stepping in. Doesn't matter if the mainstream stop liking you next week, they still have a core audience that was fukkin with them before the deals.

I'm talking from a business standpoint. Durk's Signed To The Streets mixtapes was all original beats and in house production. They released it for free when he could've easily made money from it. He drops his album with only TWO major artist features and his own producers and sells 26k:heh: that shyt makes no damn sense

This is a good point but Young Chop said he regrets everybody not going independent. Think about it, they only make music with each other and the promotion from the majors still has them selling low
