Everybody is giving it props but I still don’t think it’s enough. This is some all time level shyt

Reason being it’s rare to get that Ether type of shock value. Ether was what it was in large part bc it talked about shyt we all knew/thought of Jay but for whatever reason let slide and/or he was so cool we overlooked. And we never expected someone to ‘say the quiet part out loud’

It doesn’t happen often even in high profile beefs. Its a very specific combination of factors. Gotta be the underdog, its gotta be unexpected, and it’s gotta be well known truths

Common did it to Cube
Nas did it to Jay
Kiss did it to 50
Pusha did it to Wayne on Exodus. I wouldn’t even say he really did it to Drake he got him a different way
Kendrick did it to Drake

If you imagine a scenario where a mainstream rapper was legit beefing with 50 and spit these same exact bars, we’d be talking about this like an all time level diss

Different for many reasons

1- Drake had already been dismantled recently. No one has gone at 50 in like 20 years

2- Kendrick started the beef, as supposed to this (and ether) being a surprise reply

3- I didn’t even know this ngga rapped, let alone rap this good. We all knew what kendrick was capable of

I mostly just mean the psychological analysis,Meet The Graham type of diss. Thats what everyone's comparing this too for a reason


1. Pusha got him on a smaller scale,but it didnt put a dent in Drake for Drake fans. No ones gone at 50,and even if they did it wouldnt matter because hes washed. So going at a washed rapper doesnt have nearly the impact of going against Drake whos still killing.


2. Agree on it being a pleasant suprise and beneficial to Domani

3. It will bring eyes,lets see what he does with it. Not sure we all knew what kendrick was capable of. By Meet The Grahams yes,but not going in.

i think the shock of someone actually standing up to 50 for once has worn off, because hearing the song again i just realized how terrible it is. i know i talk shyt about TI, but at least he understands meter and can follow the beat. i realize he had a lot of shyt to get out but he didnt bother structuring it at all. i think i compared it to meet the grahams and that still tracks. in fact, i'd go as far as to say that ms jackson is like the Special Olympics version of meet the grahams.

of course everyone raps differently but generally people rap over the beat... not against it

im still glad he hit back though. 50 crossed a line here
