I just got the chance to watch episode 3.. What do ya'll think about his choice to come back with those stipulations?

I would've been okay with all of them except having to report to Lou Avery. F*ck him. :smugdraper:

I thought he would screw them over with having to buy out his partnership and join the competitor. I felt uncomfortable for him while he was sitting in that office all day though

i've felt uncomfortable for every character this season.
everyone seems to be out of their element and behaving the worse for it.

Don's the type of guy that always wins even if he doesn't have a plan... When they gave him those conditions i was like :lupe:

until i saw the look on his face when he agreed then I was :ohhh::obama: Maybe i'm reaching but he clearly identified himself as the smartest guy in the room at that moment. Plan or no plan he'll leverage his friends and offer a hand to his enemies before crushing them. Peggie will be the first to find out why he is who he is...

No, it's not Draper season. He is a lonely, lonely man that needs to be around friends or he's going to kill himself.

They didn't want him to take that bullshyt contract. They purposedly took the man's balls, even though he created the damn compnay. He's a shell of his former self, the mission of the agency is changing with this TV shyt. He is a partner answering to someone else who just came into the company. He could have easily gone somewhere, made a killing, and went on with his life. But the nikka is fukked up, he needs that sense of familiarity right now. They had no choice finacially, he had no choice emotionally and mentally. Match made in fukking hell.

You may be right.... We'll see how it goes. One could argue that draper has been lonely this entire time. He took the bullshyt deal for the same reason Walt from BB couldn't leave well enough alone. Reaching for significance and superiority. Plus he's been feeding them their best work most of his time away anyways.

One way to look at it is that they took his balls. Another way would be that he knows they don't want him back but they have no choice and he's going play that to his advantage plus they've put him under the tutelage of people that can't control him...how much you wanna bet that he forces Lou out in the next 4 episodes? He wants control and he'll get it, lonely or not.

He wants to be around friends? None of those people at the agency are his friends tho. They respected him and THATS what he needs back.
