His point is that the US is allowed to mercilessly kill and torture civilians and children with no issue. Let another entity do the same and watch him get mad

He's got some fukking nerve to talk. He's the idiot who thought it was a good idea to try and do it all with a couple hundred thousand troops.

I don't believe him. I think he's just trying to save face. I remember those old press conferences and he was all cocky and self-congratulatory for no reason. If he had all these doubts, why didn't he use a larger force like many if the top generals suggested?

It's like none of them studied history, can he remember the manpower it took to occupy germany after the nazis were defeated? British and american troops are still there to this day and the russians for years and years occupied part of it the british americans and the french each had their own zone to administer .... I never thought we should invade iraq but even if we give bush, rumsfield, blair and co the benefit of the doubt ,and it was done due to 'weapons of mass destruction' ,they genuinely believed it .... trying to occupy a defeated nation with all it's ethnic tensions with such a small number of troops was total madness.
