First off you already getting them something that is restrained by glass telling them they can’t touch what they care for and that nature is meant to be admired and never tended to. Second of all Fish being low maintenance prepares them to settle for less and because the upkeep of fish is so miniscule when they eventually die you basically just allowed that child to think they can’t handle basic shyt such as feeding and changing of water. Teaching them about water systems and filtration is too complex and too much for them to manage despite the fact it would sharpen their critical thinking skills thus when the fish dies they would realize they weren’t the sole reason behind it

Michael Vick should get into fish fighting. He should buy a big tank and put in a dogfish and a codfish.

Just to see if white people get angry about it. Let’s see how far this rabbit hole goes. They care about dogs more than they care about black people. What about fish? What about chickens? What about scorpions? Do they count as pets?

I’m just talking shyt. Not really addressing OP.

Get whatever pets you want.

Funny actually, that's how I got into home aquariums. Got my daughter a couple of fish and quickly realized she was more interested in snatching them out the tank instead of keeping them alive. Now I've got a 30 gallon and 75. :manny:

We got one for our daughter when she was like three. Betta.

She helped with feeding, cleaning, water changes etc.

Was sad when the little breh died…flushed him down the toilet so that he could return to the water Gods. :wow:

I've always felt that animals as pets was inter-species slavery, in a sense.

Don't get your child any pets. They can't take care of their damn teeth without direct micromanaged supervision. How they gonna care for another life. Please.

They don't even want nutritious foods, but they can care for a pets nutrition. F outta here.

This actually happened to me . Got a fish and it died after two days . I thought it was my fault and I killed the fish and it was very hard afternoon when I came home from school BUT….. it wasn’t the end of the world :yeshrug: And I ended up fine .

My life isn’t over cause a fish died :dead:
