This really should be a major election issue wherever you're living. It should be easier to negotiate these bills they will of course make it hard to do so because they're evil and greedy.

But I have an FSA so if I don't use it I lose it 
They literally hire the dumbest people to calculate the bills.
The system is about passing on the costs of healing the uninsured by getting the insured to pay.
Even insurance is kinda a scam. The average person who takes care of themselves are fine.
