The team obviously wasn't as well put together, but I'm not absolving Dirk of blame when he publicly said he lost some of his edge/competitiveness after winning a title.
Plus the first time they went to the finals and got knocked out in the first round the next season was the year he won MVP and their team had the number 1 seed.
