The delivery firm says it banned the courier for sharing a video of a customer in their home.

DoorDash has both a privacy policy—prohibiting the sharing of personal identifying information or imagery captured during deliveries—and a sexual harassment policy which applies to both couriers and customers.

Henderson posted several videos about the incident and her subsequent dismissal that have amassed millions of views on TikTok. In one post, Henderson said she arrived at a male customer's home to find the door open, and the man lying on a couch indecently exposed.

Henderson said she filmed the incident, shared the footage on social media—although this post has since been removed—and reported the incident to DoorDash, which she described as her primary source of income.

Two days after submitting the report, she said her Dasher account was deactivated.

Henderson shared that she had contacted the police about the incident after being encouraged to by people on social media.

DoorDash confirmed to Newsweek that Henderson’s termination was linked to her sharing footage of the incident on social media, not to her report of the alleged assault.

DoorDash, in a statement shared with Newsweek, said: "No one should ever have to experience sexual assault, harassment, or abuse, and DoorDash never deactivates someone for reporting it—full stop. We take these reports incredibly seriously and work closely with law enforcement to investigate and support those affected.

"However, posting a video of a customer in their home, and disclosing their personal details publicly, is a clear violation of our policies. That is the sole reason that this dashers account was deactivated, along with the customer's, while we investigated."

DoorDash literally says the issue was her posting the content to social media and not to them so they could investigate. Taking or recording pictures and videos is not an issue if you are doing so to create a case with Doordash, whether you are a driver or customer.
