Terrible build quality and overly bassy EQ probably. They weren't "good" headphones by any means and since the Apple acquisition they've actually gotten worse. It was trend.

Beats headphones on the other hand is about $1B in revenue, equal to how much Apple makes off charging cables...
The acquisition was never about the hardware business...

But I thought Tyrese almost f*cked it up. That's what Dre said back then. I didn't think it actually did anything. Apparently Dre was saying he was a billionaire after that, but he lost some bread and property to Nicole in the divorce and that knocked him down a little bit, lol. But now he's back.

They made the deal but at a reduced price (200 million less) at least according to a book that chronicles Apple/Tim Cooke at the time. Dre didn't see a Billion from the Beats Sale. But if your networth is somewhere north of 800M with income still coming in, becoming a Billionaire is almost inevitable.
