Watching "The Defiant Ones"... great series. We know he's going down as one of the GOAT producers of all times and rightfully so. However sometimes his raps are ehhh... In "The Defiant Ones" Dre says he doesn't like his own voice and is way more comfortable producing others. I can often hear it... he usually sounds forced. However he does have his moments...




To me, "Let Me Ride" is Dr. Dre at his vocal best. He sounds relaxed, confident, while completely in the pocket with crisp articulation. Probably my favorite song from him period.

Yea that NWA work was somewhat questionable (vocal wise) sometimes.

After Cube left and said "tryna sound like Amerikkka's Most, you can yell all day but you don't come close" I couldn't shake that image

He has a deep, distinct and commanding voice, not bytch made squeeky like Drake and Wayne etc.
