Anyone have any background on this?

"Following my debut lecture at the University of Tennessee last week I was interviewed at the Knoxville Hilton Hotel and asked several questions about the state of Black America. One such question centered on Black leadership to which I responded by, in essence, stating that I do not feel that we have a national Black leader that is currently implementing a measurable plan of progressive action aimed at improving the condition of our people in America.
However, I affirmed that we do have national spokespersons who have done an excellent job of articulating our condition and circumstance. The question made mention of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. My comments were brief, and were not intended as an attack on the Minister or the NOI - nor did the interview center on the Minister or the Nation; it was merely one question amongst many.
Although I have been busy with my Black History Tour, it has been brought to my attention by elders and colleagues in the struggle that certain members of the Nation of Islam have taken to social media attacking me and my work, but more critically and disappointingly threatening my safety and life.
As someone who has supported and attended every single march the Minister has held, and who has regularly donated financially to his causes I do not appreciate the threats on my safety. Therefore, in an effort to maintain the peace that has always existed between Team Pan-Afrikan/The Unapologetically Afrikan Movement and the Nation of Islam, I am adopting a policy of "no comment" and "no collaboration" as it relates to questions about the Minister and/or the NOI, moving forward on my journey.
My work is way to important for me allow any opportunists and conflict seekers to try and manipulate me and my organization into a petty scheme of self-destruction that creates an atmosphere of hostility between leaders. It is in my best interest, given these threats, in an effort to prevent future conflict, to no longer collaborate or participate in any efforts of the NOI so as to prevent any future misunderstandings. I will continue to support their works from a distance, as I've had the privilege of working with many commendable brothers and sisters from the Nation around the country and across the world.
However, I don't take threats lightly and the time has come to peacefully part ways. Regarding my opinions, I am a man of my word, and I mean what I say. No one is above analysis & criticism in the freedom struggle, including myself. Nonetheless, so as to not allow my works to be impeded by those seeking to derail my work by instigating unnecessary conflict between leaders, I have adopted a policy of "no comment" & "no collaboration" moving forward so as to keep the peace. I wish the Minister & the Nation of Islam well as they continue their works on behalf of our people. Ase"
