Because people bet big on it....in orlando a few weeks ago the pot for one race was 30k...a vert donk with a 632 with 2 kits on 26's vs a hardtop donk with a 632 with a big ass blower on 26's

Classic weekend in nov the same vert raced another vert with a twin turbo lsx on 26's for big money

If the money is there and somebody on rims want to race your car on rims ..why not race it

I personally prefer motorsports where drivers have to actually turn corners but drag racing is fun to watch every once in a while, in the same way that WWE is fun to watch after watching boxing, kickboxing and MMA
