Dragonball GT unappreciation thread

Do we have a consensus that this series was complete ass?


I literally pretend it didn't happen. Series is straight up horrible in almost every way. Some reasons...

1. Basically, everybody besides Goku and Pan was irrelevant.

If your name wasn't Goku you were pretty much useless in this show. Gohan and Goten (despite being Goku's sons) were basically background characters. Piccolo appeared like twice and then died for some stupid reason. Trunks was somewhat important in the first half but then pretty much got dropped. Uub was supposedly Goku's successor or something...he appeared like three times and didn't really do anything. Vegeta didn't do much of anything (other than get his body taken over) until the final arc. The human fighters didn't do anything other than make a few cameos.

2. The basic concept of the series, Goku getting turned into a kid again was stupid anyway.

3. Villains were boring and generic. Baby? Yawn. Super 17? Recycled old villain. Evil Dragons? Most of them sucked. Omega Shenron? Generic evil guy with no real personality. None of these guys were anywhere near as memorable as, say, Frieza or Cell.

4. The fights were boring for the most part.

5. The ending tried to be deep but just ended up being vague and confusing.


The one thing I will admit I liked about GT was the Super Saiyan 4 design. It was cool that it actually looked different and wasn't just a hair change. But other than that, series was straight ass. Anybody here actually like this show?

A midquel series taking place between the end of the Cell Games and the beginning of the Buu Saga would have been >>>>>>>>>>>>>

They could have had a series of mini-sagas with new villains and adventures
Give Gohan his last chance to rock that SSJ2 shine the way he ought to
Bring Vegeta's character back to his former Namek-era glory, before he became a one-dimensional hater
Have some villains for Piccolo, Android 18, and the humans (Krillin, Yamcha, Tien) to murk
Find a way to keep the OG Dragonball characters (Oolong, Bulma, Launch, Roshi, Yajirobe, Pilaf, etc) actually relevant
The further adventures of Future Trunks
Ginyu Force adventures in Otherworld

Yeah I liked the super saiyan 4 transformation. Series wasn't that great though

Just remake the series, kill off goku after cell and make him stay dead, and have gohan take over. like the way it was supposed to originally happen.

was suppose too end at cell but fans were pissed and i think threats were sent cuz they didn't want gohan as the main hero so they made the buu saga

so he made gohan in the end the strongest in that saga but not beat buu instead but have goku do it since that's what the fans wanted

It didnt even have to end at cell, they could have still continued with gohan, fans be damned.

Gohan didnt have to be a fakkit as an adult, dude just turn him into that saiyah man trash cause he had no intention of having him as the main character.

Goku coulda easily been made to give advise from king kais planet but unable to interfere

trust i def agree they passed the torched the perfect way and just fukked it all up. hell him being mystic gohan was enough too continue the damn series but no lets give his dad the hero treatment

Dog, the power levels were so inconsistent, piccolo was suppose to be ssj status when he fought 17

Think about it, 17 whooped on all the super sayians but piccolo was able to go toe to toe, and match strength with him, but only to buy time till one of the sayian characters arived.

Dude should be atleast on vegeta's level after kami and him joined together.


Making everyone yhat wasnt sayian, irrelevant was the worst decision ever.

How come tien and krillin maxed out so soon?

When piccolo fused with Kami, he was stronger than the (untrained) Super saiyan. Once everyone was finished training the Hyperbolic time chamber, no android outside of perfect cell could touch them.

But thats bullshyt, piccolo trained just as hard, why does everyone have to have a power limit just cause the sayian characters had to have the shine?

Didnt they all come out as ssj2 except of gohan, who turned ssj2 fighting cell?

They need to remake this shyt
