like someone else in this thread said earlier, American comics and Manga are two different things. The guy who made Avatar the last airbender have shown they're more adept at nailing that style and anime style fights.
Still talking about Dragonball in 2013 brehs.

Like someone said no one else is taking over Dragonball. They tried with GT and it failed miserablely. The only mistake the original writer did was fall into the pressure of the fans and made Goku come back instead of letting Gohan be the hero as originally intended.
Dragonball series would be off the chain if it was given to Eiichiro Oda
This - imagine Dragonball if shyt was actually planned out and foreshadowed.
Oda plans shyt years in advance and has had the ending for One Piece planned since the start. Toriyama pretty much made it up as he went along and never planned anything (not hating, he's admitted this in interviews).
For example, Toriyama didn't originally plan for Cell or Androids 17 and 18. Originally 19 and 20 (the fat android and Dr. Gero) were going to be the main villains of the Android arc, however his editor thought they were lame so he made up 17 and 18 and intended for them to be the main villain. His editor still thought 17 and 18 were lame so he created Cell.

That actually explains why the Android and Cell Sagas seemed so rushed. Especially in comparison to the Saiyan, Namek, and Frieza sagas. Plus there was that bullshyt with the heart virus that Goku got that was clearly just to take him off the board.
