“Lost some of my hottest verses down in Cabo
So if you find a Blackberry with the side scroll
Sell that mothafukka to any rapper that I know” – “Say What’s Real”
Are you sick of that weird robot Drake Sprite commercial? Well, too bad, because Drake is going to be tirelessly hawking something else on during our commercial breaks real soon.
Fellow Canadians Blackberry have reportedly been in talks with Drizzy to promote their Blackberry Classic, which is said to be “kind of a mashup of the current BlackBerry Q10 and the Bold 9900, with BlackBerry OS 10 powering things” to be released in November. Drake is a famed ‘Berry user, immortalized on “Say What’s Real” and then later when he whipped one out during his infamous Hot 97 “freestyle” in 2009.
Reportedly, Drake will be credited as a “designer” for the phone, which brings back the trackpad that is supposedly the reason he has yet to upgrade his 9900. No word yet if the new device will feature a side scroll.
