Great post. That's the thing, Drake makes that corny p*ssy music. I don't relate to that. You rarely if ever hear him talking about the black struggle like you said cause he's not really a part of that despite his race. We all know there are some mixed race people who are basically white culturally and he's 1 of them. It's not like you have to be a 1 certain way to be black but it's clear in his specific case he has no genuine concern or care for black people, he is in no genuine way part of the struggle. He makes songs for women in failed relationships and men that have become completely p*ssywhipped. He'll never be seen as a legend in my book simply because his material makes no impact and he has no meaningful songs. Blueprint is a classic. What does that have to do with Drake's music being devoid of substance? I don't understand. What are you getting at? Blueprint may not be the greatest display of Jay's lyricism, but to say that it is devoid of substance is silly.

Like I said in the Drake: If You're Reading This...thread, I really like that he got candid and touched on his relationship with his father on You and the 6, but that's rare for him. I wished he did more of that.
