Drake = McDonald’s
He’s the biggest brand in the game and sticks to the same formula. Approach is style over substance. Same formula/products repackaged year after year to keep the masses happy. You can depend on the chick joints, a few slappers, lo fi depressing joints, etc. There’s always something on the menu that you like. You know it’s not the best for your hip hop health, but you jump at any new offerings because it’s Drake! This is a lucrative business that refuses to stray off the beaten path because the brand is everything. A real hip hop connoisseur gets bored af eventually.

J Cole = Chick Fil A
Dependable down south franchise that specializes in customer service. Had a formula, which got tired after awhile. Fans(customers) complained, so he took note of the customer satisfaction survey data and made adjustments to meet them halfway. Switched flow up and direction of projects. You go here bc of the customer service experience and you know you’ll leave satisfied, even though they’re working with a limited menu. Cole perfects what he does and stay in his lane.

Kendrick Lamar = Fuddruckers
There aren’t too many of these burger joints around, so you gotta search for them. Kinda obscure, like Kendrick. Good parallel because he is known for not dropping a lot of material, nor is he in the public limelight. When you do find a Fuddruckers, it’s a definite upgrade from the fast food joints because it gives you OPTIONS. You can switch up from beef to turkey to even ostrich burgers. Toppings galore as well, so you can take your time and make your burger a masterpiece, which all of Kendrick’s albums are. Kendrick is fully invested in giving his listeners a full and different experience every time, and makes sure that they leave satisfied. Substance over style.

Kanye = exclusive hipster burger restaurant
This nicca’s restaurant is taking all kinds of risks to be different and to push the boundaries of accessibility and exclusivity. Risk taking is at a premium, which is sometimes a detriment. He is serving top-of-the-line sirloin burgers, Kobe beef sliders, and Wagyu on artisanal rolls. Not meant for every one. People who are willing to step over the line and fight through the hipsters can find some really dope stuff. You have to be willing to open your mind, see past the bullshyt, and take in the sonic experience. He goes over the top, so you know whether you’re feeling it or not, at least you will not be bored.

Feel free to create your own restaurant analogies if you aren’t feeling these :obama:
