I'm sure Jay enjoys art but the explosion of references was just laughable to me. I get it, some could argue that "no one complains when rappers name drop car brands" and they'd be right, but Jay's constant Basquiat name drops feel forced and corporate, like a trial balloon or some shyt to gauge interest.
