The only thing Drake has in common with Jay-z is that they both know how to make hits an essential feat that only a select few of the greatest has. So essentially any rapper who is big is the new Jay-z. From Wayne, T.I., Drake, Kanye, shyt back in the days people even said 50 was the new Jay when he was gonna retire.


Musically, Drake is a soft dude who sings and harmonizes and has a lot of emotions in his lyrics which is the complete opposite to Jay. Who has little emotion and is a street dude. Yea Drakes favorite rapper is Jay, but so is Kendricks.


There will never be anything close to Jay-z in a long ass time, a complete street rapper who is great at nearly every single thing that hiphop can offer.
T.I. is probably the only one, that I could see why anyone would say "New Jay-z".
