Hilarious "you might like listening to trash 100 times" Speaking of adding variation into songs that's something Kendrick excellent at with the production, flow, delivery, all across the board. For him though it can be a bit too much and distracting for some listeners if I had to critique him as well.
I think with linear tracks they can have this sorta hypnotic effect since you're hearing the same thing in every measure. It kinda becomes like a mantra. Listening to "which one" the bassline for the first part of the song is very repetitive once you heard the first 16 bars you pretty much heard the whole beat. Same goes for the second half of the track. That's not necessarily a bad thing can make the song catchier but I think it makes the songs more susceptible to listener burn out.
