Maybe a whole track going at dot indirectly. The visuals to me all are going at Kendrick. From the Empty pool. Too Drake Securing the bag from a UK artist after being called a colonizer. Pinocchio chasing drake but never catching him. Drake already called Kendrick a puppet. Pinocchio wanted to be a real boy. Drake calls himself the boy.
Maybe that's why he had all those guns in the "What did I miss?" Music video he would be firing off a lot of shots at people on this project (indirectly). Like a double entendre asking the question and who did he not fire shots at the first time.
This all could be a reach though.

Last time his "killer shyt" (Family Matters) got stepped on so he's certainly shook to just come out with another umprompted diss first

That track played in the middle is off because of the accent he uses. It's so forced it's bad.
Probably doing subs to test the waters and see how people react. I remember before "push ups" came out it was a few different versions that "leaked". If people not feeling it he could make adjustments maybe. I don't think there's anything he can do to win in the court of public opinion. His detractors will still hate him, his core fans will still praise him and casual listeners will remain just that occasional listeners.
With that said I liked the beat at the end seem like it is going to be the next single. He strutting around the station after securing the bag from Central Cee and being followed by Pinocchio and carrying it on his back solo. Sounds like a Boi-1da beat or co-produce beat.
This is the Beta ass energy that is why he lost though. He was hands down the top dog for the last 5-10 years. Kendrick only took his minimal shots on Like That. Being afraid was the beginning of his end. It would have been better for him if he came out cocky as hell and then got murked like he did in the beef with Pusha T. He was talking wild, actually acting/sounding disgusted that he had to address him on Duppy freestyle, and then Adidon happened. But he was able to at least come back and take his top spot back after that because of this IMO. The way he approached Kenny was why he lost, which is crazy considering he's been baiting him forever
I can see why you say that. Going for the knockout open yourself up to get knocked out. If you swing hard, and miss you open yourself up to get countered hard. I feel like with each altercation he gets in there's a chink in the armor that gets exposed. With Meek it was the "ghost writers", Pusha "the dead beat narrative" and now with K dot it's being a PDF.
I think he trying to be tactical but to some folks that will come off as being scary/beta. Which i get to be fair.
