Drake's shown no artistic growth since Take Care. I've talked about this for years on here that there is no real depth to Drake. I don't want to hear "how can you expect depth from someone who uses writers" because Puff and Dre have songs with real depth even though they used writers. Drake is shallow. That said, his Achilles Heel may be his greatest strength in regard to staying relevant. Every album sounds like it could be his debut. So while he may lose fans that are expecting something greater from each album, he gains new ones because he's
managed to keep his sound fresh. Whether that was pulling in what ever was hot in Houstalantavegas or incorporating Afro beats.

That and the fact that Drake's music is essentially Facebook/Instagram caption music lyrically.
