He’s about to get paid because of the language regarding unforeseen media formats. Hopefully other artists had similar language contracts too.

I hate to say it but he most likely won’t get a penny. These labels have the best lawyers money can buy who are hired to find ways to ensure the labels DONT have to pay.

If he sees any money, it’ll be a good Will gesture on the label but these things don’t really play out in the artists favour. Especially with contracts from that era.

Im pretty sure he's looked over this with a lawyer as well. Add in the fact that the laws regarding streaming are still being developed. Add in the fact that there's 750 million at stake which can attract lawyers. Add in all the potential artists who signed deals before streaming existed that could join.

You see all these artists selling their catalogs, I'm pretty sure streaming revenue plays a part in them willing to sell. This lawsuit could change the music game
