So I've been rattling my head on this for a bit since coming to The Coli and going to other media outlets. I see stuff like this posted periodically
Now part of me feels like we as men should learn how to dress and I do prefer a more formal or 'classic menswear' look (in the American sense) but I can't help feel that dressing a certain way is feeding into the idea that you have to dress up to be treated better as a black man.
Part of me is pissed off about this. I shouldn't have to dress up a certain way to be accepted. Are we feeding the system? I still rock facial hair and a buzzcut, almost bald appearance.
Here's Idris Elba dressed up
Thoughts?
