So I've been rattling my head on this for a bit since coming to The Coli and going to other media outlets. I see stuff like this posted periodically

Now part of me feels like we as men should learn how to dress and I do prefer a more formal or 'classic menswear' look (in the American sense) but I can't help feel that dressing a certain way is feeding into the idea that you have to dress up to be treated better as a black man.

Part of me is pissed off about this. I shouldn't have to dress up a certain way to be accepted. Are we feeding the system? I still rock facial hair and a buzzcut, almost bald appearance.

Here's Idris Elba dressed up

You can be in a fresh Armani suit and still get the :mjpls:
Basically this. A racists white person never cares what your wearing. Dont buy into the belief that maybe if you dress different, talk different, walk different, live in a better place, had a more corporate job, a european sports car, different hobbies, maybe then white people will view me differently. Your already mentally broken by believing that the problem lies with you and not them. No. Its all them. Entirely them. You dont have to do anything. White people need therapy and need to change not you. Dont carry the burden that they should be carrying. Dress however you want to.

Ehhh, it's kinda true, the black man in the upper left corner will be treated with a lot more respect than the black men on the bottom left cornor

Hence why they wont make him James Bond.

it has little to do with racism.

Doesn't matter what you wear. So long as you're a nikka, they gonna continue seeing you as nothing but a nikka.

"Maybe if they'd just stop killing each other"
"Maybe if they'd just stop dressing like thugs"
"Maybe if they'd just stop ____________"

Haven't you learned from what happened to Tiger Woods and Bill Cosby? Don't matter how much money you got or how well you dress
