Barkley had 18 carries for 60 yards and the line was collapsing all second half. AJ Brown had a PFF grade of 54.4 so that means he wasn’t getting open..
We'll see, but I know you'd definitely see it if they had two top WR's, a future HOF HB, and a great OL.
Dallas definitely could have won that game. The Eagles weren't a scary team last night at all. Lamb is going to make that catch down the middle 9/10 times and he'll make that diving catch at a fair rate.
On the other hand, Carter was out and Brown/Smith didn't have big games at all and the Eagles still won. I still don't think Hurts is a great QB, but he's getting the job done.
He's won 15 starts in a row and has a Super Bowl MVP, but he isn't a great QB.
Black quarterbacks really do have to meet a different set of standards.

These are the types of games other QBs lose. This was a typical Philly game. Only thing that was surprising is Dallas getting the ball back because they are usually able to run the clock out the last 5 minutes.
What is "great" to you? Lamar is a great QB, despite the lack of a Super Bowl.
Hurts has a Super Bowl victory, and had a much easier path to get there. Other than the tush push, what is one thing Hurts does better than Lamar? You're probably going to say he makes smart decisions and checks down.
I like how you say "he" has won 15 starts in a row when it was Barkley and that defense dominating last year. Yes, Hurts showed up when it mattered most in the playoffs against a wounded Chiefs team. Amazing.
No one is comparing him to Lamar. There's more than 1 great QB in the NFL, and more than one way to be great. Jalen makes plays when his team needs him to, that's what makes him great.
Of course there's more than one great QB in the NFL, but if you are saying Hurts is great, then I think you're setting the bar lower than it should be. He makes the plays when his team needs too. You can't knock him for that, but how many other QB's would make those same plays with the weapons he has? Again, you can't knock him for that, but you can't prop him up and ignore that he has elite weapons at the same time and act like he's one of the only QB's that can do what he is doing there.
How many teams trade their current QB for Hurts?
@PortCityProphetI'm not saying Hurts played poorly.
He literally was the difference maker in this game. His 14 carries 65 yards and two tds and most importantly timely runs were what won the game.I said he did what he needed to get done and he made good decisions with the ball. I'm not knocking him for that as it's almost the same thing as not criticizing a team for playing who's on their schedule. However, he sure as hell is not some special difference maker.
Siriani would put the same limiters on them that he does on Hurts because he wants to win football games and the Eagles game plan is to grind out the clock and play bend but don’t break and make you kick field goals while winning the turnover battle. They’ve solved NFL football as it’s currently being played.Put him on Baltimore or Buffalo and those offenses are instantly significantly worse. Put Lamar or Allen in Philly and that offense is significantly more dangerous. That shouldn't even be debatable.
No you claimed Hurts had great line, running back and receiver play when he didn’t. Barkley was averaging 3 yards a carry, the line was playing back ups and AJ is clearly hobbled by something.

Before last year Hurts had 2 seasons of throwing for 3,700 yards. One of those seasons he took his team to the Super Bowl and lost on a fluke while throwing for 300 yards and rushing for 70 and 3 tds. So it’s clear he can put up big numbers if he has to.
Would Allen and Lamar put up bigger numbers and stats? Maybe. Would it equal winning football? Looking at their playoff wins. No.
Hurts is like Russell Wilson 2.0What is "great" to you? Lamar is a great QB, despite the lack of a Super Bowl.
