Doesn't work this way for black people. Those cops are liable to arrest him or attack him in his own home, circumstances be damned.

They will take one look at the white dude and start looking for ways to blame his break in on the black man . Especially if they walk into the white dude being restrained.

im wondering about that. you definitely have a point, but they are BIG on that castle doctrine shyt here. i think he would've been in the clear, especially if the guy was still intoxicated when he came back. i wish he had shot the guy. sadly, we'll never know now. i'd rather do jail time than be dead, thats for sure.
