I had to take a DUI class once and a part of the class was to listen to family members of people who have lost loved ones to drunk driving accidents..
One was a woman who lost her 17 year old son. This lady was telling us about how he was looking forward to going off to college and how close they were.. One night coming home from a friend's house a drunk driver t-boned him doing like 90mph.. the impact caused a fire burned her son up bad in additionto crushing him. She said while in the hospital he was still trying to crack jokes just to make her smile.. He died few days after that.
