One of y’all need to be the bigger man and let the other have the last word. Once you get used to it, it becomes effortless.

Those of y’all brehs who got dual citizenship, how did u do it? I thought about getting dual UK citizenship but figured it was hard as fukk unless I had a specific reason to be there. I just wanna be able to come and go as I please.

We do get to go to the UK for 6 months at a time so that’s cool but I still would like dual citizenship if I can.
Difficult as hell, when I tried I was told I had to get someone willing to hire me for a specific ass job marry someone or stay in the country illegally for 14 years.

I'd dig a UK citizenship in theory but not really worth it and you don't want to get caught up in their tax system.

I saw something saying u can file to be exempt from that in the UK
You can file for an exemption in most countries usually if you're in phyiscally in the country or if you make too little money you can get an exemption You'd have to consult an accountant and tax lawyer in whatever country you're in.

Anyone have dual citizenship with US and another country?

Pros and cons?

My wife, kids and I can get dual citizenship through her birth country…
:patrice:
Will at least investigate the option cause shyt getting kinda spooky here with extreme political division, gun violence and shyt…Would be good to have a place to relocate to long term if necessary.

So yeah, anyone have any experience in this arena?

Thanks.

Some items would take into consideration with regard to multi-citizenship:

1) Tax implications such as tax treaties between countries or if the tax regime is global or territorial.
2) Military service. If there is an obligation to serve in the military by law.
3) Bank laws and regulation
4) Political regime of the country or countries
5) Is the country business friendly or socialistic
6) The number of countries that can be traveled to visa free by that specific country's passport

No one says that you must commit your entire personal business to one country. You could split up your personal business amongst multiple countries (flags) with those that provide the best service for that specific interest.

Also, keep in mind that there is a difference between domicile and residency. You typically have only one domicile. You can have multiple residencies.

I read that if you’re legally in the country for 6 years they give it to you
