Not the most consistent writing and definitely not the most original , but it has something that keeps you interested. It got charm, likable cast, decent fights and has a doesn't take itself too seriously approach . Also it has well drawn bishes, if you're into that type of thing. Solid series, edolas arc notwithstanding.

Well, Fairy Tail's current arc has a dope premise. It hard to compare it to anything because it's not a serious manga. It's Solid with flashes of great, but never consistently great. I'd say it's top 10, possibly 5.

i've gotten into the series a lil bit and its generic shounen. does everything by the books and doesn't take many risk. its entertaining enough to watch and not drop but its not gonna blow you away. its fairly consistent in that it doesn't get exceptionally good nor bad from what i've seen. i'm saying this though i haven't kept up with it since the Ezra arc. i plan to get back into it though.

I started this last summer then dropped it. The plot seemed like it had a lot of potential but I was 10 eps in and it didn't hold my interest.

Is this series slow, or just not for everyone?

Ehhh...I wouldn't say it improved all that much. The new arc started off really well with a ton of potential but it's still in that middle area of not great but not bad. It's definitely improved, just not a huge improvement or anything.

It's a cool manga, but it does suffer in areas like how a character receives a "random power up" in every story arc.
