The climate. At the time there were women who were retroactively going back and saying they felt threatened, women saying men raped them because they were threatened by the sheer size and presence of the man. Steven Segal was accused of trying to coerce a woman with a gun on the nightstand. Even though he never made any direct threat or even implied anything. Just the pressence of the gun she said scared her and she felt he was trying to intimidate her in the hotel room.

My post was talking about things that were common at a certain time. Or things that are innocent with context that happen during sex/interaction. That could be spun into something sinister at a later date if a woman wanted to or had something to gain. Men are lucky that there is nothing to gain by accusing most of us. Because weve all probably done something that could be spun into "rape" by modern day standards
