Doesn't matter. If you are not just in the company of people you find "beneath" your standards, but you entertain them romantically, you are who you fukk.

Think of people leaving relationships and have oodles of bad shyt to say about a partner....but they stayed with them, right? What you accept is what you are. This isn't about being high and mighty, its weighing the merits of searching for better rather than slumming in mediocrity and talking down on those people later. What good is a new fridge if all it holds is wilted and moldy?

But there's reasons beyond that.Im of the belief of your are at the same level of maturity. A good chick can date a dude at a young age who constantly cheats, lies, etc. And stay with him because thats all she can see herself with at the time or maybe duke holds some social power that validates her as worthy. You see it all the time on college campus' with black athletes. matter of fact, thats why they get picked. Cats will find a good, wholesome girl, who is doing her best and will completely destroy them. No one wants trash. Not even trash.

but one point he makes-
coming up, he had to room/board in some very basic places
dinner would be bread and water, the bed would be some pads on the ground

later, he was grateful..
because he could travel freely with fewer complaints
whereas the people who had been raised in luxury really, really struggled
