could be wade formally saying good bye and time to move on

or could be the owner saying " look riley tripping, ask your price, here"

its tricky tho, cause giving wade that kind of money really kills their flexibility

and on wade side, you dont want to play with a guys ego. they will leave simply on pride. i still believe that pat riley press conference had a huge impact on why lebron left. players have the power now. teams have to acknowledge that and adjust.

It also means we need to stretch Calderon's contract, and unload Taj and Dunleavy's contracts, which shouldn't be hard, but why not just have the money available for Wade without having to do that and like you said, Rondo/Wade/Jimmy is an odd fit

Players, people in general, only put up with that "my way or the highway" bullshyt if they have to. In basketball, more so than any other sport, one great player can carry you. If you are at that level why would you put up with some wanna be dictator that ain't stepped foot on a court in 50 years and is only as good as you make him if you can go anywhere and carry a squad and make your millions? Not to mention the blatant hypocrisy on Riley's part seeing as how he left the Knicks because they wouldn't give him his way. I also think Riley is still salty that Wade picked his boy over him. If this nikka runs the two best players in franchise history off on some ego shyt .
