Howard has always been a glorified role player , so nah this isn't the worst pairing.

Ai/Melo was def underwhelming I was hype as hell when they got together even tho I shoulda known their styles would clash:francis:

Shut up.

Dwight back in his days in Orlando was a beast. U don't average 23/13/3 and be some random role player and you're underwhelmed by Melo of all people.

:comeon:

And Dwight came outta back surgery/ torn arm ligament and his worst season since his rookie year.

Amare was playing out of his mind before trading for Melo. Stop making excuses. Amare and Melo were worse.

That back surgery was what...3 years ago :yeahok:

And that surgery is nothing compared to the microfracture surgery that Amare had...which pretty much shortens your career if not outright end it...

How is this even a question. Dwight has been a more productive player than Amare for...well basically his entire career:russ:

Amare and Melo was worse but Dwight has more all star appearances than Amare...more all nba team selections than Amare...more DPOY awards than Amare...averages more rebounds for his career...blocks more shots for his career...has better career playoff highs than Amare...

Man I was mad as hell when we signed Stat, and mad as hell when we traded damn near our whole five for Melo. Each is just a version of the other player smh

But injuries have much to do with this, I'm pretty sure the amount of games they actually played together over the years is quite low, all things considered. And the latter when Stat wasn't injured he was on minutes restrictions.

Amare was playing at his best before the Knicks traded for Melo.

Dwight wasnt playing all that well before going to Houston.

I don't know what's so hard to understand that.
