Dwight did Special Forces: World's Toughest Challenge and Dancing With The Stars, dude stays in shape. He was on Gil's Arena last year and they said they saw him down at Venice Beach courts doing a dunk contest and still killing shyt. He could probably still give a quality 20 mins a game.

He’s in physical shape but basketball wise he’s washed. That’s why he hasn’t been able to latch on a team.

The last time they faced was April 3, 2022. Dwight started that game alongside Anthony Davis and played 23+ minutes.

Jokic finished with 38/18/6.

Denver's starting lineup was Jokic, Gordon, Will Barton, Monte Morris and JaMychal Green.

Which is pretty telling, since the best way to slow down a great big is the Sheed/Ben combo approach (one physical defender as point of attack, and behind him the weak-side shot blocker to come over)... which is what Dwight/AD did in the bubble and later Chet/Hartenstein these past playoffs.

You take one away and leave the other on an island, it's gonna get ugly. Even with both, it can still get ugly

Dwight wasn't slowing Jokic down. Even in Dwights prime. The only area he might match with Jokic is in the post on the rare occasion Jokic decides to back him down. The thing is Dwight isn't used to guarding dudes full court bringing up the ball and being forced to stay in his face 25 feet out due to him being a high percentage 3pt shooter. No one in the modern NBA can guard Jokic he's way too unorthodox and skilled to contain.

Come on, d h was one of the most athletic defensive center in his era. He would absolutely slow him down
